Hey everyone, I hope your week has been a good one. I've been trying to post more consistently and told myself I have to do another post before the week is over. Of course my procrastination probs got the best of me and I'm just now getting around to it. But today's post is an ode to the current fashion trends sweeping the runways and the retailers.
Trend Number 1 : The 70's. If you don't already know seventies style is back with a vengeance, from flared pants to bell sleeves. Lately, I find my self gravitating towards flared jeans or wide leg trousers. Hence the black ones I'm wearing here and the satin one's from my last post. I just can't get enough of it, call me a flower child.
Trend Number 2 : Sheer/mesh. Sheer gowns. Sheer tops. Sheer bottoms. Everything is sheer these days. It's not really a trend I'm a huge fan of because I feel like it leaves very little to the imagination, but with the proper undergarments this trend can be executed tastefully. I decided to wear an sweetheart bustier from Nasty Gal underneath my sheer Kate Young for Target polka dot bodysuit.
Trend Number 3 : Chokers. This is my absolute favorite trend right now. If you follow me on snapchat you've probably seen me rocking a variety of chokers. They're a quick and easy accessory for any type of outfit casual or dressy, plus they are pretty easy to make. I made this one out of left over fabric from the black pants that I'm wearing. All I did was cut a piece of scrap of fabric, ironed down the hems and used a small rubberband to tie it at the back of my neck. Simple.
Well I hope this look has inspired you to try out a few new trends and incorporate them into your own wardrobe. So what are some of the style trend you guys have been crushing on? Please do tell! Thanks for stopping by.
